Teaser.

In Kates apartment, at night, Kate and Kevin are arguing over Groo:

Kevin: Why the hell does he need to stay here?

Kate: Because he has no where else to go.

Kevin: he has survived the last two years on the streets so why is he here.

Kate: He saved my life Kev, what am I ment to do, ask he to leave.

Kevin: Yes

Kate just stares blankly at him.

Kevin: Give him some money and tell him to go.

Kate: I can really tell you’re my brother Kevin.

Kevin: Why ?, because we're arguing or because we're on about the same person ?

Kate: Both!

Kevin: How did he save your life ?

Kate: Well….you know….I was attacked by this gang and he came………look can we not, I’m off work right now and I don’t need anything else giving me stress.

Kevin: So why is Groo staying here ?

Kate just looks at him and walk into her room.

The camara comes into the hall out side of the apartment where Groo is standing looking quite sad at what he just heard.

Act 1

Kate is still in her room, and Groo comes in trying to look happy, Kevin is in the kitchen making a cup of tea.

Groo: I’m back

Kevin: Oh wonderful

Groo: I think we need to talk, you no, man to man.

Kevin: If that’s what you are yes.

Groo puts the coment past him, Kevin comes to sit down with his tea:

Kevin: So what do you want to talk about ?

Groo: I just want you to know you can trust me.

Kevin: Oh can I now.

Groo: Yes, I’m not here to harm Kate, I treat her like a princess, its what I do, I have grown up with customs that I should treat each woman with care and respect.

Kevin: Look, I know I haven’t been all that nice to you, it’s just she’s my sister, my only real family now, I don’t want to see her get hurt.

Groo: With me and you around she wont be.

They shake hands and get up:

Groo: Does this make us friends.

Kevin thinks.

Kevin: We’re good I guess.

Kevin puts down his cup of tea and walks to the front door.

Kevin: Tell Kate I’m just popping out for a……………

A huge green demon bursts through the front door, the door hit’s into Kevin, knocking him agaist the wall unconscious.

Demon: YOU!……….I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU GROOSALUGG!

Act 2

Kate comes out of her room:

Kate: What was that.

Demon: Stay out of this!

The demon walks over to Kate and hits her down the hall, and she goes sliding along into a cuboard door:

Kate: Crossbow, must find Crossbow.

Back at the top of the hall the demon turns to face groo.

Groo: What are you doing here, you were the demon I killed today before I ran into Kate.

Demon: That was my brother, Miner, I’m Sinith his Twin.

Groo: Twin, oh, well…..sorry for the killing, but he did ask for it.

Sinith: I think not, I’ll avenge his death.

Sinith runs at him, but Groo knocks him back, in this time Groo picks up his sward and swings at him. Sinith ducks and grabs Groo’s arm pinning it behind his back rendering his sward useless.

Kevin wakes up, and his eyes widen:

Kevin: Whats going on (he pushes the door off of himself)

Groo: We’re being attacked.

Kevin: Yes I got that part, but what are we being attacked by?

Groo: Not sure, I’ll tell you after if we don’t die.

Kevin: Right got it.

Groo elbows Sinith and spins round doing a powerful kick into his chest.
Kevin runs up hiting Sinith round the jaw, Sinith doesn’t think anything of it and pushes him back on to the floor.

Act 3

Sinith hits Groo back into the coffee table, it breaks as he crashes through it.
Kate comes down the hall with her crossbow:

Kate: Sorry, it took me a while to find! Didn’t think I’ll be needing this again.

She lifts up the crossbow and fires!
The arrow shoots through the room and plunges into the demons shoulder.

Sinith: You really think that’ll stop me.

He pulls the arrow out of his chest.

Kate: Crossbows are a little different to guns so give me a chance.

Sinith runs at her, grabs her arm and twists it, she yells out loud.

Kevin gets up: Hay that’s my sister!

He rugby tackles Sinith and they both hit the floor.
Groo and Kate looked shocked at the fact he managed to take him down.

Sinith becomes angry and pushes Kevin off into the wall next to him.

Groo runs up to him and jumps on his back, grabbing him round the neck, Kate picks up the crossbow and fires once more, it shoots across the room for the last time and hits into Siniths neck. He drops to the floor and lay dead.

They all look at each other:

Kevin: So anyone wonna tell me what’s going on?

Kate: We should tell him. (she says looking at Groo)

Kevin: tell me what, what’s going on, first I’m attacked by a demon in LA, next I hear your attacked by a gang and rescued by him and now we are attacked by another demon.

Kate sits him down on the sofa.

Kate: There is something you should know about this world.

Kevin: What!

Groo: It’s races are not just humans, there are vampires, demons, witches and other worldly things like that.

Kate: But as I’ve learnd in the past, there not all bad, some are normal, some are evil, some are even useful mebers of citys around the world.

Kevin: So let me get this straight, the supernatural really exists in this world?

Kate: oh yeah.

Groo: Not just this one, thousands of others too.
Kevin: Others?

Groo: Yeah others, I’m not actually from this world really.

Kate: Your not?

Groo: I was from a demention called Pylea.

Kate: Oh.

Kevin: How did you get out ?

Groo: Well I met this gang, great, powerful and kind of strange gang. There was this one woman, one princess out of all of them that I loved. To cut the story short, she had to leave and I became king of Pylea, but a revolution happened and I found a way out, a way to this world, where I saw my princess once again.

I worked for her and her group for a month or two, but she had fallen for another man, so I left the city.

Kate: That is so heroic, who did you work for ?

Groo: Angel Investigations

Kate looks shocked.

Kate: What a flippin small world.

Groo: Why do you say this ?

Kate: I know Angel, I new him for 2 years!

Kevin: Who’s Angel ?

Groo: One of the most heroic people I know.

Kate: The last time we spoke was outside his hotel, we had the most indepth talk, I was unhappy to leave, but that was the choice I had to make, I haven’t heard from him since.

Groo: He choose his path, and I have chosen mine, to do good wherever it maybe needed.

Kate just looks to the ground and thinks is she doing the right job!

Epilogue (Conclusion)

The gang start to clear up the mess, Groo is trying to put the front door back on, Kate has gone out to somehow dispose of the demon body and Kevin is trying to fix the coffee table:

Kevin: My life has just ben turned upside down, one normal day I come to live with my sister the next we’re fighting demons.

Groo: Not just demons, the next thing we might face maybe something completely different.

Kevin: Can’t wait!

Kate walks in rubbing her hands:

Kate: Being a cop is less ewwww than this job!

Kevin: where did you put the body?

Kate: Oh that doesn’t matter, I just hope Mrs Luppin down the hall doesn’t look in her trash any time soon.

Kevin and Groo just look at her.

About an hour later Groo has just finished putting on the door and Kevin has put half the table back together, Kate just put the crossbow in her room.

The three of them collaps on the sofa:

Groo: Well that was and brillant day.

Kate stares at him.

Kevin: Yes it is thrilling getting nearly killed.

Kate: Well I have 3 days before I have to go back to work so I’m not gunna sit around here for that time.

Kevin: What are you suggesting ?

Kate: That we go out, I’ve had enough of the apartment for now.

Groo: I second the comment!

Kate: Well lets go then!

Kate get up and grabs her coat and walks out. Kevin and Groo look at each and then follow her:

Kate: So where you guys wonna go ?
Kevin: Somewhere that’s else.

Groo: Is that even and place

There voices fade down the hall and the screen fades to black!
