Spin Off: Decisions, decisions...

There are virtually no stories that I have read on this site that wouldn't make terriffic spinoffs (not to say I have read them all), though I doubt many networks could air something as gritty as Addictions, or as sexy as some of the D/C fics, or as long as Man With...etc. But to choose from among them....

Filmtheory, anything by you is a sure thing. I've read nothing that's as solidly adherent (shall we say 'loyal') to the Buffyverse than your series. I can't pick from among them, they're all great (though Running on Faith is my favorite, wink, wink).

I'd TOTALLY love to see The Watcher by gumboy as a spinoff. It'd be like the Next Generation for the Buffyverse, introducing the (let's face it) unrivalled universe of Buffy to a whole new generation. It's got Xander as the veteran, familiar face, and special guest appearances by the old cast. It's got my vote!

Obviously, peggstar, you've done the right thing and gone for it (and good luck to you, though you probably won't need it), but there's no harm in praising you anyway! GOOD WORK!

I've also been reading a very interesting and unique story by spikeNdru called Deja Vu. In my (admittedly humble) opinion, it has all the qualities of a spin off that's only even conincidentally Buffyverse (and that's a good thing!). It strikes me as very Ann Rice and would make an excellent feature length film if not a spinoff series.

So basically, I have no idea out of all these great stories which I choose to nominate. They're all network worthy and I don't think many of us would miss an episode of any of them were they to air on Fox. Good work all!
