Life's a Bitch: 10
by Ksue
"Angel? What room should I take?" Buffy asked, grabbing a box from the back of the moving van and looking around.
"The one across the hall from mine," Angel said. Buffy motioned for Faith, Brooke, and Spike to follow her with their boxes.
"Gotcha," Buffy said. When she opened the door to her new room, Buffy gasped. Angel had redone it so that it matched her old room. Exactly.
"Holy shit, B. Boy's really got it bad," Faith muttered, setting her box down with a thunk.
"Careful! I didn't mark the fragile boxes. I probably should have, with oafes like you three carrying my stuff," Buffy scolded.
"I don't see why you had to move in with Angel, pet. You could've stayed with me," Spike grumbled, setting a small box down on her bed.
"I'm moving in with Angel because I love him. Plus, we bicker too much. I'd end up killing you," Buffy smiled. She turned to head back downstairs.
"We don't bicker!" Spike shouted, following after her.
"We're doing it right now," Buffy smirked. She saw Angel and ran to him, jumping into his arms.
"Ugh, now we have to see that disgusting display," Spike murmered.
"Thank you, baby. It's perfect," Buffy said, grinning.
"I thought you might like it," Angel said, kissing her.
"I love you," Buffy murmered.
"I am exhausted," Buffy sighed, plopping onto the couch that evening.
"You all unpacked?" Angel asked.
"Yep, all done," Buffy said.
"Are you to exhausted for some dancing?" Angel asked, raising his eyebrows.
"What did you have in mind?"Buffy asked.
"Well, the club has dancing every other night, so i figured we could go there, get you aclimated to the neighborhood," Angel shrugged.
"okay. I'll go get dressed," Buffy smiled, jumping to her feet with new energy.
"And later I'll undress you," Angel smirked.
"You evil, evil man."
"Holy shit," Buffy breathed as she and Angel walked into the club's ballroom. Hip hop blasted on the speakers and lots of young, rich, college aged students were dancing.
"Shhh. they may look rough around the edges, but they aren't. That language'll earn you a failing grade in no time," Angel whispered. Several people spotted tham and waved.
"Hi, my name's Callie. You new to the neighborhood?" the tall, muscular blonde asked.
"Yeah, I just moved in today. My name's Buffy," Buffy said, holding out her hand.
"Cool. You two have fun. Maybe we'll see you at the house tomorrow night?" Callie asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Absolutly," Angel said quickly.
"What house?" Buffy whispered as Callie walked away.
"Callie and her brother Brian. They throw the best parties," angel explained.
"Cool." Buffy and Angel spent the rest of the night dancing and meeting people. Buffy slid into the roll of a rich kid perfectly. No one even thought to ask where she had lived before or about her parents.
"You're so good at this," Angel murmured into her ear.
"Good at what?" Buffy asked.
"Being rich," Angel replied. Buffy jumped as the ceel phone in her purse rang.
"Hello?" Buffy asked.
"B? It's Faith. Brooke, Spike, and I have been sitting at Guenchy for over an hour waiting for you," Faith said, sounding irritated.
"Why?" Buffy asked, laughing.
"Because you and Angel were supposed to come and celebrate your new house," Faith spat.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry. I totally forgot," Buffy apologized.
"Save it B. It's too late now. Glad to see you're enjoying your stint as the rich one. Just don't forget where it is you really come from," Faith scolded. She hung up without waiting for Buffy to reply.
"Man, she's pissed at me," Buffy said.
"Who?" Angel asked.
"Faith. Can we go home? I'm a little tired," Buffy admitted.
"Too tired for me?" Angel asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Never," Buffy smiled. They walked back to Angel's car and headed home.
