Connor Angel is a secondary character in Angel. During the middle of Season 2 Angel was on his way to turning evil. At the top of his rage, he and Darla had sex, that brought him to an epiphany that he should be doing good for the sake of doing good, not for redemption. What he didn’t know was that, for some mystical reason, Darla conceived a child that night (the child of two vampires). Darla returned in season three, largely pregnant, and gave birth during the 9th episode that season to “Connor”. He was kidnapped that same season by Wesley Wyndam-Pryce, who was fed a fake prophecy that said “the father will kill the son”. Wesley gave Connor to Angel’s biggest enemy, and he (Daniel Holtz) took the baby and went to Quor-Toth, one of the worst hell dimensions, and renamed Connor to “Stephen” (the name of the son Angel killed while he was soulless). Connor returned toward the end of the season in the episode “The Price,” as a teenager, leveling a weapon at Angel and uttering his most famous line: “Hi Dad”. Connor spends his time in Season 3 and 4 being very sullen, rude, and self-centered, due to his upbringing in Quor-Toth, the death of his “father” Daniel Holtz and being the offspring of two vampires, making him something that had never existed before. There was no way for him to “find himself” as most children have to do as they grow up. In season 4, he and Cordelia Chase conceived a child who became the “goddess” Jasmine. She offered the world peace, in place of free-will. After she was defeated Connor went crazy, and wired a store to blow-up. Angel made a deal with the devil (well, with Wolfram and Hart) to change Connor (and everyone else’s) life. He believed that he was the son of Colleen and Lawrence Reilly, graduated from High School, had a sister and was accepted to Stanford University. No one other than Angel remembered Connor’s existence until season five, when Connor’s new reality was shattered (again by Wesley), and memories came back to Wesley, and Connor. Connor chose to continue his happy life, not telling his new parents about his past. He came back in the last episode of Angel to help his father fight one of the last battles, in Wolfram and Hart. Once Connor got a stable life, he became the child and man any parent would be proud of.

“I know this, a tool for eating.”
“I understand. Sunny was nice. Now she’s dead”

Season Four: "Like I care what you think?"
“They didn't tell you? I sunk him to the bottom of the ocean... to punish him.”
“Fathers. Don't they suck?”
“What if it is? What if that thing is—chose the place where I was born. Is that why it's here—because of me?”
“Well, then, you're a puppet. Either way, everything's going to hell because of you. You're the reason that the sun is gone, that I don't have a home to go back to. You're the reason that she— It's you. You're the reason my life sucks.”
“You don't know anything, Dad, except—except how to take things away from me.”
“Why? Nothing in this world is the way it ought to be. It's harsh and cruel— Because of you!”
“You think I care what you say? Angel told me how you'd try to hurt me, how you aren't my real dad, just some animal in a cage. Angel's my dad. That's what he told me. And he thought I believed him. The truth is, Angel's just something that you're forced to wear. You're my real father."
“I know what we have to do. Angel told me. Something goes wrong, I kill him.”
“Now we realize how happy you've made us, oh, Jasmine. You came and you gave without taking...”
“I'm finally part of something! I belong! I won't let anyone ruin that!”
“Shut up. All your talk about saving the world. Well... now somebody's gone and done it. Made everything right... and good. And you can't stand it because you're all so full of yourselves. Don't you get it? You're all alone now. All of you. You're the ones left out in the cold. You... don't... belong.”
“Always the same, dad. I get a girl, you gotta make a play for her.”
“I didn't feel anything! I can't feel anything. I guess I really am your son... 'cause I'm dead, too.”
“There's only one thing that ever changes anything... and that's death. Everything else is just a lie. You can't be saved by a lie. You can't be saved at all.”
“OK, whoa, whoa. Enough. That's all I had to hear. Since it's my special day and I'm all brilliant and everything and I'm forced to spend at least a few more months with you freaks...”
Season 5
“You know, they have dried scorpions in the vending machines downstairs.”
“It's cool. I mean, my parents are liars and I can never trust them again, but it's cool. Look...I know you guys are worried, but...the whole point is I'm OK. I got hit and I'm OK. That should make you happy, not like, you know... mental patients. I mean, it turned out fine.”
“And you're a vampire. So...demons, vampires, doctors with claws... and I'm some sort of super-hero. OK.”
“Whoa! Man, this place is way better than college”
“Whoa! You see that? I went a little hard-core there for a second. That guy made me really cranky. “
“I kinda think I should. I need to take care of my parents. This isn't their world. They really don't feel safe here. You gotta do what you can to protect your family. I learned that from my father.”
“Care about that, dress-for-less?”
“Come on. You drop by for a cup of coffee, and the world's not ending? Please.”
Quotes Said about Connor:
Fred: "I can't imagine what you've been through, Connor, being taken away by Holtz, raised in that place. It must have been horrible. I know you're still hurting but - I promise, it's not nearly as much as you're gonna hurt for what you did to your father."
Gunn: “That's right, Sparky, Daddy's coming home. And I'm guessing there's going to be a spanking."
Angel: "What you did to me - was unbelievable, Connor. - But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M. C. Esher perspective - but I did get time to think. About us, about the world. - Nothing in the world is the way it ought to be. - It's harsh, and cruel. - But that's why there's us. Champions. It doesn't matter where we come from, what we've done or suffered, or even if we make a difference. We live as though the world was what it should be, to show it what it can be. - You're not a part of that yet. - I hope you will be. I love you, Connor. Now get out of my house."
