When the movies were over Rupert sent the little B* to bed, although he used her real name while doing it. Reluctant, she obeyed, dragging out a promise from him to come see her in a few minutes.

He cleared the dishes of the little feast that came with the movies to the kitchen and once again I followed him, hugging him from behind and sliding my arms into his shirt. "Sharon, not here, please."

"She's A BIG girl Rupert, she can handle it. Besides, you sent her to bed."

"And if I won't check up on her she'll come looking for me."

He pulled away and turned to her room. God.

I managed to drag him to his bedroom, his mind trying to stop me, his body unable to resist. He was one delicious little hunk, I'll give him that.

We were on the bed, kissing. He was out of his shirt, I was out of almost everything. All of a sudden there was a crashing sound from downstairs.

Rupert jumped up, panting. "Buffy?"

No answer. He tried to get up, but I pushed him down. "Rupert…"

"Buffy?"

Still no answer. He got himself away from me and dashed down stairs.

Enough was enough. If I can't do it the nice way… well. I have no moral setbacks.

I wrapped myself in his robe and came down. They were in the kitchen, picking up the remains of a cup and saucer. "Next time you want anything just call me."

"I didn't want to interrupt." Yeah right.

Rupert blushed. He was so cute when he did that…. "Yes, well. Never the less." Ho, yes, please Buffy. Feel free to call him anytime. Don't mind me. I was just trying to have sex here. It's not like it will get in the middle of anything if you came rushing up the stairs. Stupid little bitca.

"And why didn't you answer when I called you?"

"You called? I didn't notice. Sorry." I snorted. Rupert turned to me with a raised eyebrow.

"Sorry, a little dust in the air."

He turned back to Buffy. "I'll make you the tea. Get to bed."

She nodded and shuffled to her room. "I'll be upstairs, Rupert."

My decision of earlier that night seemed like my only option.

Time for plan B.

!!!confidential!!!

Operation: Plan B.

Team: A: Ality, Sharon. C.O.

Hardware:

Brain: 1.
Sex appeal: 1.

Moral standards: Not to be issued under any circumstances.

Target: Relationship; Giles, Rupert L. , Summers, Elizabeth A.

Means: Infiltrate, divide and concur.

Notes: Shot to kill.

We lay in bed together, hugged. I was afraid he'd get up and go check on his precious little rat-girl, but he didn't. He seemed to be dozing of. Good. That meant he wasn't thinking straight.

"Rupert…"

"Umm?"

"Don't you think Buffy should be living in the dorm?"

"Why? The college is only twenty minutes from here."

"I know, but… it's time she grew up a bit. I mean, she's awfully dependent on you, isn't she?"

"She's sick, that's all. She isn't usually like this. She's very self reliant, actually."

"Really? Because it seemed to me like you weren't letting her take care of herself even when she could. And some day she will have to move out, she can't stay home forever. Don't you think you're making it harder for her to achieve independence?"

Rupert's eyes opened. "I haven't thought about it that way. Do you think I'm babying her too much?"

Mission accomplished.

Like hell.

He TALKED to her about it. He actually told her I said she wasn't being treated like a nineteen was meant to be. What ever she told him, he was back to his old self by dinnertime the next day.

And she was pissed. And all the more willing to fight for him.

But she was nineteen, and I had so much more experience in the men stealing and keeping department… I thought she couldn't be a threat.

I didn't take into account Rupert. Unlike the rest of them, who were just parents, he was also a personal friend of hers. That made things all the more difficult, and all the more interesting.

Her boyfriend joined us for dinner. I thought that will drag Buffy away from Rupert and leave him to me, but instead the presence of her boyfriend made him edgy. I don't think he liked the boy. Or maybe he just didn't like the fact that he was dating his Buffy. What ever it was, I got the distinct feeling that he wasn't about to let them saunter off to her room.

I was right. Buffy couldn't leave the house, and Rupert sent such a glare their way when they wanted to go to her room that they very quickly agreed to stay in the living room. With us.

Ho, joy!

Really was a nice young man. I wondered about the odds of Buffy marrying him no later then next Thursday (just a random date) and moving out.

Not if Rupert had anything to say in the matter.

At eleven o'clock he sent her to bed, claming she was sick and needed the rest. I couldn't hide my smile. Finally!!

What, did you think he'll pay attention to me? I thought so too. But all he wanted to do was talk about that little slut (again, he called her Buffy) and her boyfriend. Could I care less?

I went to the bathroom at some point and met Buffy on her way out. "I like your boyfriend."

"Thanks."

"Are you two planing on moving in together?"

"He lives in the dorm."

"That's nice. Being out of the house. Have you thought about it?"

"I like it here." She looked at me in a way which clearly said "And I'm not going anywhere as long are you're around"

"Don't you think it's time you moved on?" I had my sweetest smile on.

She looked at me with her own sweet smile. "Are you going to take your claws out of him yourself or are we going to have to see the vet about it?"

"Are you threatening me? Cause you have no idea who you're dealing with little girl."

"You know that sword hanging in Giles' bedroom?" She leaned in and whispered. "I know how to use it." She backed of a little. "Do you?"

With that she went into her room and slammed the door.

So, she wants to do it the hard way, huh?

The End
