.:: Riassunto dal miniwildfeed di 7x14 - First Date::.

Buffy goes out on a date with Principal Wood, who reveals his true identity; Xander gets a date with a cute girl who’s more than meets the eye; the First attempts to convince Andrew to murder the Potential Slayers.

As he walks through a cemetery with the clearly riveted Potential Slayers, Giles describes how his instincts saved his life when Bringers launched an attack back in England. Suddenly, Spike tackles Giles, having been told by Anya that he’s the First. When this misunderstanding is cleared up, Buffy tells Giles that the implant chip was removed from Spike’s head. Giles chastises Buffy for allowing the chip to be removed, as Spike can revert to his former murderous self. But Buffy’s convinced that Spike’s soul will keep him from hurting anyone. She also denies that there are any sparks between her and Spike. Meanwhile, Xander joins a group of other young men watching a pipe-cutting demonstration at a lumber yard. He strikes up a conversation with a pretty woman, Maya, and he asks her to go bowling with him.

Buffy sneaks into Principal Wood’s office and does some snooping in an effort to determine if he’s hiding something. Principal Wood enters the office, and Buffy covers by claiming she was looking for office supplies. Wood then surprises Buffy by asking her out to dinner. When Buffy leaves the office, Wood removes an ornate knife from beneath his coat and wipes it clean of blood. Buffy tells Willow about her date with Wood, and Buffy expresses conflicting feelings about going out with him, as she’s unsure if he’s evil. Later, Xander tells the girls about his date with Maya. Meanwhile, the First takes Jonathan’s form and attempts to talk Andrew into gunning down the Potential Slayers. And later, Spike approaches Buffy as she steps out of the bathroom wearing her bra. He tells her that he’s aware of her upcoming date, and insists he’s all right with it. Xander meets Maya for their bowling date, but it soon becomes clear that Maya doesn’t really bowl. Maya tells Xander she’s thought of something else they can do instead.

Meanwhile, Giles uses flashcards to communicate with a Vietnamese Potential Slayer named Chao-Ahn, which contain images of Bringers, vampires and the Ubervamp, Turok-Han. As Principal Wood and Buffy walk down an alley toward a restaurant, they’re jumped by vampires. Surprisingly, Wood quickly turns two of the vampires into dust. They make their way to the restaurant, where Wood reveals he’s sort of a freelance vampire killer, and he was drawn to the Hellmouth because something big is about to happen. It turns out that Wood is the son of a Slayer. His mother was murdered by a vampire, and Wood spent a great deal of time trying to determine the identity of her killer.

Meanwhile, the First outlines how Andrew is to gun down the Potential Slayers. Oddly, Andrew questions the First about his vulnerabilities. It becomes apparent that Andrew is wearing a hidden wire, while Willow, Kennedy, Amanda and Dawn record the conversation in the basement. The First tells Andrew that Jonathan is spending an eternity in pain because of what Andrew did. The First then begins to decompose…and then materializes in the basement with the girls before disappearing into thin air. Meanwhile, Maya—who’s actually a demon—lures Xander back to the basement of Sunnydale High School, where she hoists him into the air over the Seal of Danthalzar. When Giles learns of the First’s appearance, he tells the girls they must “circle their wagons” and concentrate on the issue at hand—not going out on dates.

Shortly thereafter, the group receives an urgent text message from Xander, which turns out to be a plea for help. Spike tells the others that he’ll find Buffy. He makes his way to the restaurant and interrupts Buffy’s date with Principal Wood. Back in the high school basement, Maya stabs Xander in the chest, and his blood drips onto the seal. Buffy, Spike and Wood spring into action, just as a Turok Han arm springs from the seal. Wood rescues Xander, and with the flow of blood cut off, the seal closes, cutting off the Turok Han’s arm. During the battle, Buffy decapitates Maya, exposing the demon within, which quickly dies. Later, the First appears in Principal Wood’s apartment in the form of Wood’s dead mother. It gives Wood the identity of the vampire who killed his mother: Spike.
