Best Romance - Most romantic fic that focuses on Buffy and Spike getting together.

Best Ficlet - Best one part story, no chapters. Fic must be complete to be nominated. (Previously Best Short Fic)

Best Long - Best fic that is 2 - 20 chapters long. Fic must be complete to be nominated.

Best Saga - Best fic that has 21 or more chapters.

Best Angst - Best sad and emotionally charged fic.

Best Lighthearted - Best comedic or fluffy spuffy fic. (Previously Best Fluffy/Best Comedy.)

Sexiest Bite - Fic that contains the sexiest bite. Must include chapter reference in nomination.

Best Naughty - Best fic rated NC-17.

Best WIP - Best incomplete story. Must be at least 3 chapters long.

Best Episode Re-Write - Best fic based on an episode from the show.
Note: Can either be a complete rewrite or just a fic based on a missing scene or what could have happened after a 'fade to black'.

Best 'Castaway' Fic - Best fic in which Buffy and Spike are thrust into a situation where they have to rely on each other to survive.
Award is named in honour of Ripe Wicked Plum's fiction Castaway.

Best Time Travel Fic - Best Fic where one or more characters are sent to a different time period. Can be to the future, past or to the current time from the future or past.

Best Drama - Best dramatic or suspensful fic.

Best Original Plotline - Best fic with the most original plotline.

Best Author - Authors with TWO fics nominated in a round will be automatically nominated.

Judges Pick - Judge's favourites from any of the stories nominated.

Readers Pick - Best fic from a list of 15 picked at random, as voted by you, the readers!
