Faith is the tough, no-nonsense Slayer sent to replace Kendra. After witnessing a very old vampire named, Kakistos kill her Watcher, Faith came to Sunnydale in search of the other Slayer. When she moved to Sunnydale, the vampire Kakistos followed after to ensure her death. However, after she teamed up with Buffy Kakistos was killed when Faith plunged a large wooden beam into him.
Living in a run-down apartment, Faith struggles on her own while refusing to allow anyone to get close. Her luck seemed to be bad when everyone she ever let herself trust turned on her. In the episode, "Revelations," a new Watcher was sent to teach Faith, but it turns out she was just a black-magic obsessed woman (who was a Watcher but was banned because of her other activities) in search of The Glove of Myhnegon. Faith then shut down, keeping everyone at a distance. After a few Faith-less episodes, she appeared in, "Amends" where she spent the Christmas holiday with Buffy and her mom.
Faith has since made a drastic change in her lifestyles. After accidentally killing The Mayor's assistant (a human) her downward spiral continued and she teamed up with the Mayor after killing Mr. Trick. Since then, she's been doing the Mayor's dirty work and helping him prepare for the "Ascension." In the episode, "Enemies," she had the tables turned on her. After turning Angel back into Angelus, she teamed up with the evil vampire to kill Buffy. It went on for quite a while, until Faith finally discovered that Angel never really became evil, he was just pretending.
