Breakfast from Parting Gifts (Season 1) |
CORDELIA: Not that he didnt have it coming. He was a horrible, evil monster.
ANGEL: Hmm, he did kill a lot of people.
WESLEY: Viciously mutilated their corpses.
CORDELIA: Plus he started the bidding on me at a paltry two thousand dollars. (Holds drawing of gray, blobby thing.) This, I frame for saving my life and as a reminder that something of Doyles is here in our office.
WESLEY: Well, Ill be off then. Fair well, Angel. Who knows when our paths will cross again.
ANGEL: Wesley.
(Wesley puts his jacket on.)
CORDELIA: Do you even know where youre headed?
WESLEY: Rogue demon hunters rarely do. Wherever evil lurks, wherever the forces of darkness threaten humanity, thats where Ill be.
CORDELIA: Oh, okay. Well, keep in touch.
WESLEY: Yes. Yes, I will. But now the evil lurking everywhere bids me onwards. So I go.
CORDELIA: Take care.
WESLEY: Yes.
WESLEY: No rest for the wicked fighters. Through storm and rain, heat, faminedeep, painful, gnawing hungerI go.
ANGEL: Breakfast?
WESLEY: Ooh I suppose so.
CORDELIA: One of the perks of the job? After an all-nighter of fighting the lurking evil we get eggs.
ANGEL: Toast?
WESLEY: Please!
CORDELIA: Im famished. Hes a good cook for someone on a liquid diet.
WESLEY: Astonishing, really.
CORDELIA: Mhm-mm.
WESLEY: Did you say something about toast?
