CALEB: Are you ready to finish this, bitch?

(fight)

BUFFY: Okay, how many times do I have to kill you? Ballpark figure?

CALEB: You understand nothing.

(they fight. Caleb has Buffy by the throat)

CALEB: You think you have power over me?

(she breaks free)

CALEB: Stupid girl. You?ll never stop me. You don?t have the ba?

(Buffy swings the axe low in an upward arc and buries the blade between Caleb?s legs.)

BUFFY: Who does nowadays?

(continues the motion, slices him in 2)

ANGEL: (waking up) Okay, now I?m pissed. Where is he?

BUFFY: (deadpan) He had to split.

(She holds a straight face for a beat, then cracks up.)

THE FIRST/BUFFY: (whispering to Spike, unseen in the shadows) Yeah, she needs you real bad.
