Summary
Set in 1940, a story of Spike & Dru's adventures before they met Buffy. It's Drucilla's birthday, and Spike wants to celebrate by getting Dru a necklace which allows the wearer to shape-shift at will. He learns of a demon who is willing to trade the necklace for a few favours. Spike's task is to kill the current slayer, Sophie, and all the slayers-in-waiting. If he succeeds, it will mean the end of the chosen one...all of the chosen ones...forever. A great read, and a fun book learing about Spike and Dru's former adventures. Worth buying!
