battles the ghosts of Sunnydale High's past as the school has a new crop
of students, which includes Dawn. Buffy can't resist a chance to tour
the facility, but her curiosity soon turns to dread when spirits from
the old school materialize to harass her. Also, Giles consoles a guilt-ridden
Willow.

702 - Beneath You
|
Xander
introduces Buffy to a woman whose dog was eaten by an annelid. Suspecting
demon activity, Buffy volunteers to find the creature, and Spike, who's
being tormented by an unknown force, shows up to offer his assistance.
Willow, meanwhile, prepares to return home.

703 - Same Time, Same Place
|
Buffy,
Xander and Dawn are unable to find Willow, whose return to Sunnydale
is marred by a demon who relishes the skin of his victims.

|
Novice
counselor Buffy gropes for words of wisdom for Sunnydale High students,
but is left speechless by Cassie, a teen who calmly predicts her own
death. Meanwhile, Anya struggles with being a vengeance demon.

A
wish granted by Anya has devastating consequences in this alternately
witty and wrenching tale. Anya's breakup with Xander has driven her to
return to her demon ways with, well, a vengeance. But that changes after
she takes a humiliated coed's desire too literally.

Lovestruck
Dawn pushes to have a charismatic jock made quarterback on Sunnydale
High's football team ansd develops an unhealthy obsession. Buffy tries
to intervene with comically disastrous results. Xander and Spike become
reluctant roommates.

People
|
While
out on patrol, Buffy squares off with a former classmate and current
vampire, who goads her into revealing her insecurities. Back at home,
Dawn is thrown into a panic when an invisible force trashes the Summers'
house and deposits the corpse of her mother on the sofa.

708 - Sleeper
|
As
Dawn and Willow recover from their chaotic night at the Summers house,
Buffy probes a series of grisly murders that may be the work of Spike.
Fearful that he may be killing, the gang's investigation into his behavior
climaxes in a confrontation between him and Buffy.

709 - Never Leave Me
|
Spike
is held captive in the Summers home while the Scoobies ponder their options
in the aftermath of his murder spree; a squeamish Andrew tries to master
killing; Buffy contacts the Watchers' Council for advice.

|
As
the Scoobies research the orgins of the First to find a way to rescue
Spike, Giles arrives with reinforcements---three apprentice Slayers.
Buffy is rattled
when her mother offers advice in her dreams.

|
More
potential slayers arrive in Sunnydale and the Ubervamp becomes more of
a worry for Buffy as he will be coming after the young slayer-wannabes
at the bidding of the First Evil. Anya and Giles visit an oracle who
they hope will provide them with information on the First.

|
Buffy
and Spike establish a boot camp to prepare the potential slayers for
combat with the First, while a spell from Willow reveals another potential
living in Sunnydale.

713 - The Killer In Me
|
When Willow starts to give in to feelings for Kennedy, her conscience
causes her to turn into Warren. The gang gets clues that Giles may be
The First and Buffy helps Spike with his malfunctioning chip.

714 - First Date
|
Buffy
and Principal Wood’s dinner date becomes a harrowing operation
to save Xander from a catastrophic date with a beautiful but enigmatic
woman. Meanwhile, Giles and Spike continue to hone the training of the
Slayer wannabes.

715 - Get It Done
|
Desperate
for a way to curtail the First, Buffy embarks on a perilous quest for
knowledge while the Summers home, densely packed with Slayer wannabes,
suffers a surprising, grievous loss which ratchets up the gang’s
attempt to rout the growing forces of evil.

716 - Storyteller
|
Andrew
irritates the Scoobies by filming their activities for a documentary
on Buffy as Sunnydale High is rocked by a sudden outbreak of student
violence. Xander and Anya reconsider their relationship.

717 - Lies My Parents Told Me
|
Giles
returns with a device that he hopes will find and deactivate the trigger
in Spike’s subconscious that The First is using to make him "vamp" out
which causes the vampire to relive the day his soul was taken away
|
718 - Dirty Girls
|
Willow
brings Faith back to Sunnydale, just in time for the arrival of Caleb,
a misogynist preacher who has aligned himself with the First. Caleb sends
a message to Buffy in the form of an almost dead potential slayer, claiming
to have something of Buffy's, prompting her to prepare her army of girls
for an attack.

719 - Empty Places
|
Buffy
and the gang attempt to recover from the results of their attack on Caleb.
Faith takes the potentials out for a night at the Bronze, Giles and Willow
hunt down info
on Caleb that sends Spike and Andrew on a road trip. And Buffy has another
meeting with Caleb that leads her to want to make another attack.

720 - Touched
|
Faith
claims leadership as Buffy wanders
the now deserted Sunnydale in search of a place to stay. Spike and Andrew
return from their trip to the mission with news that Caleb may indeed
have something of Buffy's. Faith and the others
kidnap a Bringer and plan an attack on the
Bringers arsenal.

721 - End Of Days
|
As
Buffy takes the scythe, the potentials and Faith
suffer losses from the bomb trap left for them. Willow and Giles attempt
to find more about the origins of the scythe. Andrew and Anya head to
the now deserted hospital to pick up medical supplies, and Caleb merges
with
the First to refresh his source of power.

722 - Chosen
|
After
finishing off Caleb and sending Angel off with thanks for the a amulet
he delivered, Buffy returns home to find Dawn back. Spike confronts Buffy
on her kissing of Angel and after reconciling, she is visited by the
First, whose taunts give Buffy an idea of how she can defeat the First.
