Andy Hallett Biography

Andy Hallett's introduction to acting was ANGEL. He had worked at a number of odd jobs in L.A. when ANGEL series creator Joss Whedon saw Andy perform in a Universal City blues review.

He started singing after Patti LaBelle brought him onstage during one of her concerts and hasn't stopped since.

Whedon brought him in to play the Host, an anagogic (one who has a spiritual or mystical sense) demon who reads people's thoughts, feelings and futures while they sing karaoke at his bar Caritas. We found out in the last few episodes of Angel's second season that the Host came from another dimension that had no music. And, his name in the other dimension is Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan, but her says he prefers Lorne.

Andy can also be seen in independent film "Chance" co-starring fellow Joss Whedon recruits Amber Benson and James Marsters.
