Amy Acker Biography

First seen on ANGEL in the last three episodes of season two, Amy Acker appeared as Winifred Burkle, trapped for five years in a demon dimension. She joins the cast as a series regular in season three.

Amy, a Dallas, Texas native, studied ballet and jazz dancing for 13 years before heading off to Southern Methodist University. There she discovered a love of acting and eventually earned her B.F.A.

She moved to Los Angeles to star in a pilot for MTV, but when that fell through Amy took parts in independent films such as "Groom Lake," written and directed by William Shatner.

When not getting used to her new home on ANGEL, Amy can be found reading, skiing, horseback riding and practicing yoga to relax. She lives in Los Angeles and is married to actor Joseph Scarimbolo.
