Take it away, Phil...

Phil The Parrot's Wednesday Spotlight

You would think with my enigmatic charm and stunning good looks I could get a better gig than this. My friends, sometimes the cage can hold you back.

So I hear Amy Acker is pregnant. Let's just pray the kid doesn't have wings when he comes out, if you know what I'm saying. Alright, alright, I'm joking....or am I? I guess you can determine this in 4 1/2 months.

I know exactly what you're asking yourself -- What does Phil recommend watching this fall on TV? I don't RECOMMEND anything, except washing your beak at least 3 times a day to avoid the mange; but I will say what I'll be watching.

Anything written by J.J Abrams should suffice. I'm giving "Lost" a chance, but only if I see some birds on that island. With my pent-up sexual frustration, J.J could keep me from switching over to Clark Kent on Wednesdays if he simply places a couple or three pelicans on the beach.

"Alias", of course doesn't pop up with new episodes until January, so it will be awhile before I can see new episodes of Jennifer Garner and Victor Garber driving over plotholes, and reciting lines none of us can understand.

I will only watch "Tru Calling", if Jason Priestly has Fox get rid of that lame theme song, and put the 90210 on it's place. There's only so much of Eliza Dushku walking around like she's Mary Tyler Moore, and then talking to dead folks I can take.

This fall isn't looking very good, but at least I have the newspaper below me to keep me entertained.

*ba-da-da-da, ba-da-da-da clap, clap* That was the 90210 theme song, by the way...oh, and...

This is Phil.
