It's Thursday. Let's roll...

I finally added the quotes for "Not Fade Away". Check those out here. I still need "Power Play" quotes, however.

News Bites....

- "The Jury" didn't do very well in the ratings. Matter of fact, it did horrible.
- An article on all the save angel campaign stuff.
- James Marsters says he's ready to move on, but he did it in a much better way than Sarah or David, that's for sure.

Upcoming Episodes are updated.

So the finale wins by a very small margin. AHITW comes in a very close second. Smile Time wasn't too far behind either, and took 3rd place. That was quite the heated race. Let's see what you had to say...

"I think that A Hole in the World was the best episode ever. Not Just in the season. It was really great. I even liked it more than a lot of movies... also, very close is Not Fade Away, though i'd like to know what happens next.. but whatever. Angel Rocks!"
- Marco Ortiz

"I'm honestly surprised that the finale, "Not Fade Away," is so popular. Don't get me wrong, because the episode was wonderful, but I don't think NFA was as good as "Lineage" or "Destiny," two outstanding eps that are barely blips on the poll. And I'm astounded that "Smile Time" is so popular. I loved that episode but didn't realize that so many other fans loved it. BTW, I voted for "Hole in the World" which may be the single best piece of work Joss has done - maybe even better than "The Body" or "Once More, With Feeling.""
- Kirsten

"It was a close call between, well, almost everything, but I went with Not Fade Away. Probably the best Jossverse finale, with the possible exception of The Gift. Angel signs away the Shanshu, Wesley dies, Illyria wishes to do more violence and Lindsey gets killed by the flunky. Brilliant, brilliant ending. I don't know if it's really better than A Whole In the world, Smile Time, and the dozen other episodes which were too good to be true, but at the moment that's my choice. I also have to commend Underneath. Excellent and underrated episode IMO."
- Fat Tony

"Ok, I want to know who voted for "The Girl in Question", "Life of the Party" or "Why We Fight". zzzzzzzzz. "Hole in the World" is the best episode of Season Five and, in my opinion, also the best of the series."
- Sunnycide

"Oh, that was really hard, there were so many good ones! I wanted to say Smile Time cause it was just a work of genius, and well duh, Puppet Angel, but I had to go for a serious one. Then I thought about Not Fade Away and it is definately on the top 3 list but not the best one. Then of course there was You're Welcome totally awesome but not my absolute favorite. I finally realized that I had to go with the cavemen and the astronauts and the brilliant Ms. Acker's acting. Therefore my favorite episode perhaps of all time is A Hole in the World."
- Liz

"Wow....Hole in the World or You're Welcome...tough. They were both wonderful episodes and great goodbyes to loved characters. But, alas, I must choose You're Welcome. Peace out, Cordy."
- Dust

"Wow, this one was hard to choose! So many good eps this season, it is clear they wanted to put forth their best effort! I have to go with "Not Fade Away" as it was the biggest kick ass final I think I've ever seen! I loved the whole thing! Smile Time comes in a close second as the ep that made me laugh the most, but the finalle...wow! They finished the show with a major bang and showed us strength in all the characters, even though I hated to see Wes die, it was touching. Angel and the fang gang joining together to stir things up! I love it! Illiria even warmed my heart in this ep! This ep had everything, laughter, suspense, wit, crying, and romance. A true ME showcase. I think as fans take time to digest it they will view it again and appreciate the depth that was given to all the characters. Pure Gold! Plus, we know deep down there was someway and somehow that they got through that last battle alive, they just HAD to! Stay tuned for future movie..."
- JK13

"This is a hard poll, especially since I am still in mourning over the cancellation. So to keep along with those morose thoughts, I'll pick the one I cried over first -- which was You're Welcome. Seeing closure to Cordy was great, even though it was sad. I'm getting chills just thinking about it."
- Jrzlee

"I went with Smile Time, it was just too darn cute, but I also loved Lineage, A Hole in the World, You're Welcome, Soul Purpose, Not Fade Away, and Underneath, and the others weren't half bad either. It was a very strong season, and I hope that Joss is able to incorporate his plans for season six into a second Buffyverse spinoff in the near future. I'm pessimistic that a spinoff will happen though since it's not starting right away and would need to in order to keep hold of actors and writers..."
- Carl

"This is probably the hardest poll ever conceived. I mean, Season Five was, pretty much, mind blowing... It's almost impossible to have a favourite because the quality was so unbelieveably high. I mean, Soul Purpose was beautiful, A Hole In The World made me cry like a baby, You're Welcome did too in a lesser extent, the last 10 mins of Power Play was possibly the most heroic scene I ever had the pleasure of viewing. Being in the u.k I haven't seen Not Fade Away but I have enough faith in Joss that it will be tremendously bitter-sweet, Origin was fantastic - it even made me like Connor.... It's all too hard! I feel like my head may explode...."
- Kit

"Hole in the World. Every moment in it is heartbreaking. Fred singing to Wesley then collapsing in his arms. Fred staying strong while knowing she will die. Fred saying that she walks with heroes. Fred asking Wesley why she can't stay. All too sad. Joss is a meanie. Hooking up Fred and Wes and then killing her in the next episode."
- milesfrom730

"The season was awesome, but the ending was dramatic, thrilling, emotional, and absoultley SPECTACULAR!! Not Fade Away was hands down the best episode (IMO)."
- sarah s

"It's tough to pick a favorite episode this season. There were a lot of big moments. I think that the last 2 episodes of the season really came together well, and it was nice to see our hero, Angel, return to himself after a really tough season... Fred & Cordy's death, the separation from his son, taking over W&H, Shanshu, etc. For me, the fight with Hamilton was superb, and some of the scenes in "Not Fade Away" were arguably some of television's finest. The ending was tough on us fans with respect to closure of story line... it did leave us hanging; but it did leave us with a message to never give up... and a perfect lead in to a feature film. How many movies start off with a fight to the death from the getgo? Anyhow, it's been a great five seasons, and a unique series finale if nothing else arises in theatres."
- Chris

"Ok this question is so not fair. I mean...how do I pick just one favorite? There are several eps worth mentioning (in my opinion). You're Welcome, A Hole In the World, Smile Time (hehe), Not Fade Away, and Damage (for some reason). Anyway, those are just a few of my favs from this season, but I did vote for You're Welcome."
- SaxySlayer

Good comments guys. The new poll is up - go vote. :)

That's it for now. See ya later.

On June 25th...Hell will never be the same. Or maybe it will...or maybe it won't. You don't want to know, and I don't know. Or maybe I do...? You'll have it find out on June 25th...or maybe not. Now I'm confused, who's with me?
