AM Update
It's Thursday. Let's get right to it...
News Bites has...
- A Seth Green interview.
Upcoming Episodes are updated.
To the poll...
Last week we asked, "Who's your favorite Angel writer (past/present - besides Joss)?" Here
are the results...
Tim Minear - 23.1%
Total votes: 359
Minear wins it, with Greenwalt coming in a close 2nd place, and Ms. Jane rounding out the
top 3. Let's see what you guys had to say about it...
"Drew Goddard! The man has 'god' in his name! I think that says more than enough...Plus, how can you go wrong with a guy who has over 700 minions?
(I myself am #590)"
"I don't know about you, but Jane Espenson has always been good to me."
"Tim Minear is by far the best writer to have worked on Angel (after Joss, that is). His insight to the characters is incredible. The episodes he's written are some of my all-time favorites, especially Somnambulist and AYNOHYEB. Without looking at the opening credits, I can always tell when Tim has written a particular episode...there's just something about his writing that is different from everyone else. As a writer myself, Tim is one person I look up for inspiration. The man is an absolute legend, and I wish him well on "Wonderfalls"."
"Hands down: Tim Minear. I even like some of his episodes better than... gulp... Joss. I'll go away now..."
"Tim rocks!! He's definitely written some of the best episodes of the series...and "AYNOHYEB"? Long title, excellent episode. ;) I usually adore Whedon's episode, but I just don't think he has as good a hold on the characters of AtS as he did on BtVS. I thought "Waiting in the Wings" was pretty craptacular."
Note from Matt: I think you need to realize that the comment "he doesn't have a good hold on
the characters" is kind of pretty silly, considering he always has some input in each episode,
with or without his name under "written by".
"I said Mere Smith because Orpheus is one of my fav Angel eps. But really, the majority of the
writers are GREAT....honorable mentions go to Steven S. DeKnight for Shells....
completely did not predict that ending."
"I voted for DeKnight. His season 4 episode Inside Out earned him my vote. I would have voted for Sarah Fain & Elizabeth Craft but I've only ever liked one of their episodes (ie Harm's Way). Keep it up Steven!"
Not very many comments this week. Oh well, this week's poll is up. Go vote now. :)
That's it for now. I should be back this evening with more.
