The Master's "Big Cheese Fondue

If the vampires don't kill you, the cholesterol will.

good crusty french bread, hack into cubes
1 clove garlic
1 cup dry white wine
1 pound grated swiss cheese
1/4 tspn nutmeg
1/4 tspn white pepper
3 tablespoons kirsch
salt to taste

Rub the inside of the fondue pot with the garlic clove. Pour in the wine and heat until barely simmering. Add the cheese a little at a time, stirring well, until it is completely melted. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir in. Using fondue forks, dunk in bread. A chafing dish will do in a pinch if you don't have a fondue pot.
